The St Paul’s Safeguarding Training policy sets out details of the grace period provided to allow people who need Safeguarding training to start a role before the training is completed.
Grace Periods
It is recognised that for many who perform these roles, this training requirement may be seen as an additional burden. The contributions made by volunteers are very much appreciated and is deeply valued.
St Paul’s wishes to help volunteers to manage this extra requirement as well as fulfilling its moral and legal duty to ensure safeguarding training is completed by those that require it.
To accomplish this, this policy grants a period of grace to each person who requires safeguarding training.
The following grace periods will apply:
The C0 module must be completed within 1 calendar month of starting a role that requires it.
C1 & C2 accreditations must be achieved within 3 calendar months of starting a role which requires them.
If the required accreditation is not achieved within this grace period, then the individual will not be able to perform the role until such time as they are correctly accredited.
If you have any questions about this please contact the Parish Safeguarding Officer by email at safeguarding@stpaulsletchworth.co.uk
