Hello!
At St Paul’s, we’re passionate about young people coming to know, love and follow Jesus. We want to provide a safe place for everyone, no matter where they are at in their faith, to feel valued and accepted. We want to share the life-changing love of Jesus with young people and support and inspire them for a life of faith. Our aim is to invest in them as individuals, equip them with God’s word and encourage them to apply their faith to their daily lives and be open about their faith with their friends.
“Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.”
1 Thessalonians 2:8
FUSE
During our Sunday morning services the young people meet in either the youth lounge or the Vicarage for fun, games and Bible study. These groups are for all in school years 5-13 and the sessions are led by our Youth leader, Claire, and the fantastic team of volunteers.
ALERT!
On Sunday evenings during term-time our little young people meet together from 4:45pm – 6:00pm and then head over to the evening service for 6:30pm. Over pizza we talk about the Bible reading for the service and some of the things that they may hear in the talk.
AFTERHOURS
On Sunday evenings during term-time our older young people meet together from 6:00-8:30pm for a time of worship, teaching, small group discussion and, of course, food. This group is aimed at those wanting to deepen their faith and open up the Bible.
Youth Socials & Special Events
Each term we have different social events going on, from BBQs in the warm weather to indoor activities such as bowling and movie nights. We also go away on an annual Youth Weekend Away which is always one of the highlights of the year. If you’d like to be kept in the loop about these events please let Claire know and she’ll add you to her mailing list.
The Lounge
Our young people in school years 9-11 meet weekly to delve deeper into the Bible. Please get in touch if you would like to join this group
1:1 Mentoring
Our young people are offered 1:1 mentoring to help deepen their faith and give them the space to ask questions they’d be nervous to ask in a group setting. This is done through going on walks, for a coffee, playing table tennis or spending time reading the Bible.
