Home groups give the opportunity to meet regularly with people from the church to get to know one another better, to study the bible and learn more about their faith and to pray and support one another.
If you would like to join a home group then feel free to contact the office. Vicky will put you in touch with the group coordinators to arrange a visit to see if this is the group for you – do feel free to visit a few groups before making a decision on which group to join.
|Monday (weekly – term time) 19.30||Letchworth||Pauline & Peter Eyles||We are an informal group of people from varying church backgrounds. We use varied teaching material including a mix of questions on the Sunday sermon and other teaching material. We take it in turns to lead, host, teach and lead sung worship and our group is a safe place to be open and honest in our discussions about where they are at. A key feature of the group is listening prayer where we are open to the Holy Spirit to speak to us in words and pictures.|
19.45 (for 20.00 start)
|Letchworth||Anne Jenkins||We are a mature mixed group, mainly from All Saints Church, and have a lot of life faith and life experience we can share. It is a very lively faith group, with various leaders so our styles of leading vary followed by coffee and a time to talk together. The group has lots of love and laughter and you will be warmly welcomed if you want to come and join us!|
|Mondays (weekly) 06.30||Lighthouse Lounge, St Paul’s Hall||Paul Thomson||The Men’s Prayer Breakfast meet on Monday at 6:30am (yes, 6:30 am!) We have a short time of bible study and discussion then we pray for each other, our church, our friends and family and the wider world. We always finish by 7:15am to allow those who need to get to work to do so. In the years we have met, we have grown together as a group who aim to start the week focussing on God and how he wants us to lead our lives. We have seen answers to prayers in many ways, and for some prayers we are still waiting, You are welcome to join us or send prayer requests.|
|Tuesdays (weekly, term time) 10am||Letchworth||Maureen Phillips and Daphne Page||We are an informal and friendly group of mainly retired women who meet for Bible study, prayer and mutual support during term time. At the beginning of each term we have a ‘working breakfast’, at the usual group time, to reflect on the last term and to plan for the coming term – we do a mix of sermon series questions and following a particular study guide. We prioritise caring for each other and we treat with absolute confidence any personal problems which are shared and prayed about in the group. God’s unconditional love and support are at the heart of our group.|
|Tuesday (weekly) 12.30||Letchworth||Jill Thomson||We are called ‘the lunch bunch’ because we meet to share lunch, fellowship, Bible study and we support each other in prayer.|

|Around Letchworth||Brian Evans||Our principal focus is Bible study, following a specific book or theme each term. Reading and discussing the week’s topic is followed by a short time of open prayer, for the church, for the town, the country and the world and also for our own personal needs or concerns. We end by saying the Grace together.|
We recognise that discussion or prayer might bring up personal matters; part of the group ethos is the understanding that such matters remain confidential within the group.
|Around Letchworth||Harold Brown||We meet for Bible study, prayer and support. Our study is usually based on the Bible passages and the sermon from a previous Sunday. We have an open prayer time. We also support each other during the week through texting and emailing prayer requests. We share hosting and leading and have a termly social. There is plenty of room for newcomers since we have split the group into two parallel sessions.|
|Thursday (weekly) 16.00 (for 16:15 start) – 17:30||Letchworth||Peter Deary||The majority of us are retired and started our Christian journey from across the full range of the Anglican Communion and nonconformist traditions and are now part of St Paul’s or All Saints. We tend to follow a traditional structured approach as we pray, sing and study God’s word concluding with tea and biscuits and shared conversation. The host chooses and organises the study from a commentary selected by the group. The group is represented on the missionary committee and is the channel for support by prayer and encouragement to our mission partners in Albania- Will, Doreta and family|

|We move between Letchworth, Hitchin, Stotfold and Arlesey||Liz Archer||We are an eclectic mix of old and young, both in age and in how long we have been Christians and/or at St Paul’s. We have a programme for each term in which we dig a bit deeper into the current sermon series – but no week is ever the same and meetings can be small or large depending on people’s commitments that week. We support and pray for each other, when we meet and in between.|
|Letchworth||Michael Eve||We are continuing in our Alpha way of coming together, sharing experiences, enjoying laughter, warm friendship, mutual support – and snacks. In our growth as Christians the Bible is our main source of reference, together with DVD’s, booklets, sermon series questions, and our own thoughts. Prayer is central to our group, we each pray in a way which is comfortable for us individually, knowing that “However we like to pray, God is listening”.(Camilla, group member.)|
We are mindful always of Jesus’ promise that “where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them” (Matt.18 v.20). You are very welcome to join us.
